Who said that Cold War history and entertainment cannot be combined? The Cold War Research Network is excited to merge these elements by hosting a student-oriented screening of the critically acclaimed film π½π§ππππ π€π ππ₯πππ¨. We warmly invite you to join us!
Set during the Cold War in 1960, π½π§ππππ π€π ππ₯πππ¨ is a 2015 historical drama that illustrates the complex diplomacy and networks of communication between the US and USSR, especially concerning espionage. The film vividly portrays a high-stakes prisoner exchange between a Soviet and an American spy, delivering a thrilling narrative.
The CWRNβs and Utrecht Universityβs own, Dr.Β Eleni Braat, Associate Professor of Secret Intelligence History, will be present to provide a brief introduction enriching the viewing with historical insights and details about intelligence in the Cold War.
