New Publication: ‘Between a Rock and a Hard Place: The Precarious State of a Double Agent during the Cold War’

CWRN members Eleni Braat (Utrecht University) and Ben de Jong (Leiden University) have recently published an open access journal article in the International Journal of Intelligence and Counterintelligence (IJIC). Their article ‘Between a Rock and a Hard Place: The Precarious State of a Double Agent during the Cold War’ deals with Cold War double agent (“M”), who spied for the Dutch Security Service and the CIA against the East German Ministerium fur Staatssicherheit (Stasi).

This publication in IJIC led to a number of other publications and podcasts aimed at a broader audience, among them an article and podcast in The Conversation as well as in the Dutch press.
