“That it can end and how it ended. We now have the privileged viewpoint of observing history in hindsight and we could be honored to unveil a so far unconnected causal link leading to turning points such as the fall of the Berlin Wall and peaceful transitions. By focusing on the intertwined ecosystem of: root causes, shared efforts and initially unimaginable alliances for common purposes, we can now map itineraries that were once invisible. Indeed, these have a nuanced feel and taste, and they can shed (further) light on the threads that reinforced once opaque networks. In this way, even if different context are never a mirror of one another, we can build a set of cooperative triggering factors of analysis for forward-looking and dialogued futures.”
